Baby Shower Planning!

September 18th!  The long awaited baby shower is now one week away. Woooohoo I’m super duper excited. Today I have turned 35weeks and I’m almost there people. I had my Ava on the day I turned 37weeks so lets pray this little monster decides to stay in and bake for a few more weeks.

So what’s the theme you ask? Well…my Mom and Sister have graciously decided to throw this lovely shower and after throwing around a few ideas (A tea shower, Nesting theme…woodland theme)  we settled on one that I knew would be perfecto. Our little man is SUPPOSED to be due October 15th, BUT as it seems, he is a little to eager to wait that long. But with an October/Fall baby I thought it would be so cute if we did a my little pumpkin theme!!!! Colors of choice are Tiffany Blue, Chocolate Brown and Pumpkin Orange. Now because I am soooo anal about having my hand in anything decorating or planning I just had to help. I can’t keep out of the planning process-I love it too much!!! So while the ladies do all the planning, coordinating and food. I am doing a little bit of the design process. Store bought? Huh? No way…if I can make it myself, I will find a way!

Here’s is what I’ve done so far…

Designed the invitations!

Little Pumpkin Baby Shower invite

My little Pumpkin Baby Shower theme

Made a few Food Labels and Cupcake Toppers with the cordinating Paterns and Colors!

Fall Baby Shower cupcake toppers

What are cupcake toppers you ask?? Why these are!

and here’s is about a million you can order from Etsy sellers if your not crafty.

I made these myself and there are hundreds of tutorials out there on how.

The example from above is from here 🙂 http://www.etsy.com/shop/jackandizzy?ref=seller_info

The food Labels…

I’ve got a bunch more fun projects to show you after all is said and done, so after next week be sure to check back and see pictures of the party and the little DIY projects I did!

Hi there,

I stumbled across your blog post when I was searching for cute pumpkin theme’s for a baby shower. I’m absolutely in love with the invitation you designed. So dang cute. I’m wondering if there is any way to share that or portions of it (if you’re willing to, of course)? Possibly just the little pumpkin and clothes line graphics? I have the full Adobe suite, but only a beginner when it comes to design. InDesign works well for me, because I’m better at putting it all together rather than creating from the ground up. In any case, I’d love to use your designs. Definitely understand if you don’t feel comfortable sharing with a total stranger, but it never hurts to ask.

Given the shower date, I imagine you’re probably starting to plan for a first birthday now.

Cheers,
Megan

I would love to duplicate this for a baby shower i am throwing for a girlfriend this November. Would you be willing to sell me a printable package or something? I love the colors, patterns, etc. Any help would be great. Thank you so much.

I love your baby shower invites and I am throwing a fall theme baby shower for someone. I love to create my own digital invitations but cannot find this clothes line anywhere. I know it must be out there somewhere because I have seen it on many invitations. Would you be willing to share where you purchase this digital content?

Rebeccaw - July 16, 2012 - 11:25 AM

I am throwing my sister a baby shower and love love love this is exactly what I am looking for in the invitations. Please share how you did this. IT’S the most precious invitation I have seen.
Thanks,
Rebecca

Sean and Jacqui’s Engagement Shoot

GUIDO!!!  Thats what she called him! I love it!  Sean and Jacqui have got to be one of the cutest couple I’ve ever met. Jacqui was up for anykind of sultry posing and kissing that I asked for…Sean wasn’t going to turn those down!  I met these two love birds back in February when a fellow photog friend refered me for their engagement pictures. They flew ALL the way down from Massachusetts to shoot here in the Clermont area. Location of choice… BELLA COLLINA!!!   GAHHHH I love this place!

Jacqui’s father passed away over a year ago and this location was his favorite golfing spot so they decided on doing there session here in honor of him. Mom and little sis of Jacqui tagged along for the day as well…and were totally grossed out by all the lovey dovey moments! But these two are so much in love and were truely made for each other…a perfect fit.  Their wedding is this October and unfortunately because of little Mason on the way, I’ll be unable to shoot it. But I just know it’s going to be soooo beautiful. Congrats Sean and Jacqui. You guys made me laugh so hard and were so wonderful to work with. MUAH.

Comments rock my socks 🙂

Under a Rock

I’ve been hiding……

Well not really hiding, just in avoidance of my social networking and blogging. I’m absolutely healthy for those of you that have been asking. If your not a twitter or facebook contact of mine then I guess you haven’t heard the news yet 🙂

The hubby and I are expecting baby #2!!   I have SERIOUSLY neglected to write a post on the blog about these past 7 months! It’s not because I don’t love ya…I really really do..but I’ve kept most of my updating via Facebook.

So here is the gist for those who don’t know. In the last week of February my husband were super surprised to find out that we were expecting and that I was currently 10wks pregnant. We were not planning on having another one and had been extra cautious in that area…but I like to joke with my husband and say that his little swimmers have super powers and were waiting at my ovary doors 🙂   My darling little Ava whom had been wishing and wishing and asking and asking for a sibling for the past 2 years will now be getting her wish.  The first trimester for me was HORRIBLE. I was able to get a few sessions in during that time…but mostly stayed in the bed with CONSTANT nausea and stomach pain. Finally about 6 months into the pregnancy the nausea subsided I was finally able to EAT something besides crackers blah. I had tons of energy and my belly finally went POP 🙂    BUT…..pain set in.  By this time we went and had our ultrasound and found out what we are having. DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

IT”S  A BOY!!!!!  Husband is deliriously excited as you can imagine. But poor little Ava. Yeah not soooo much. She went with us to find out the sex and she was convinced it was a baby sister. The moment the tech nurse said it’s a boy….her smile turned to a frown. She was soooo upset and even shed a tear. 🙁

About a few weeks prior to that, miss Ava had seen that Huggies commercial on tv. You know..the one where the dad is changing his son’s diaper and as soon as he takes it off the baby pees like a fire hydrant ALL OVER THE PLACE. Well after seeing that AND having people tell us that baby boys pee on everything, she was convinced that baby boys were little piss monsters ahahahaha. PLUS we have 3 boy dogs that like to lift there leg on everything so you can imagine the ideas rolling through her little mind.

Needless to say she’s doing a little bit better about the whole idea of a brother…

She said and I quote…”ok well fine…I’m still going to dress him up in my princess clothes and put makeup on him” LOL.

Now remember she was 4 at this time..so having 4 years of mommy spoiling only her and her being the first granddaughter on both sides of the family. Yeah we are going to have a tough time when he arrives.

So backto the “Pain”.  Around the time we found out the sex, we also were told that our little man was in the breach position and was hanging out in the birth canal area really really low.  As he started to grow and put on pounds, him being in this position and so far down caused severe pain and my doctor finally recommended me to stop working for risk of pre-term labor.   🙁   booo.   So with  doctors orders, I had to stop taking work. The pain has increased and increased now to the point that I have been just laying around and not doing to much. The doc says that it’s from being so petite and little as well. I’m 5’1 and weighed 110  when I got pregnant and didn’t put ANY weight on until my 6th month.

I am 8 months pregnant now and ready to push this kid out ya’ll !  My baby-shower isn’t until Sept.18th  and I will be 36wks along. OH GEESH.   My doctor doesn’t think I will make it to October as planned and that he will most likely come the last week in September. THATS MY BIRTHDAY WEEK   ack.!!!

Picking out names…that’s a whole other post in itself!!!  We did finally pick a first name that we both agree on and that is Mason

Help us out on a middle name friends!!!

Mason Greer Miller  ?

Mason Kale Miller  ?   this is what i like

Mason Jackson Miller  ?   Ava insists that this is what she is going to call him. hmmmm

Mason Carter Miller  ?

Mason Grey Miller  ?

throw a few more out there for us!

I am planning on relaunching in January 2011 after he is born.  So don’t fret my fans!

Here are a few UltraSound pics for your enjoyment

New Product Review

Hi fans and Clients! I wanted to take the time and present a new product that Bella Allure Imagery is providing.  Many of my clients can tell you that one of their favorite products I offer is the wrap around Canvas. It’s so nice when clients want a handful of these beauties for their wall ehome…the only problem is….which sizes do I order and how do I hang them. WELL…it just so happens that they receive a nice little flip book of a gallery inspire guide that helps them choose which groupings would be best for their wall.  THese have been such a HUGE success this past year and the last.  So in saying that I decided to add an even more simple solution to these.  If you have a tough time on decision making then hopefully these will help you out.
